Not saying its based on this, but since im use to things like warframe, this makes me think of the Sentient Faction. Its mainly the hollow chest and arms, as well as the boney design and red probably make me be dumb XD

Since it seems to be made of primarily bone- maybe if the eyes flapped open and closed either like a shield cover or moving bone pieces as it readies its fire- say the jaw covering its eyes.
Not saying you gotta do this or that, just spitballing. Like how this turned out.

i think its the main problem with my design here, the jaw piece looks boney but the head (and all the body overall) haves a veiny effect wich makes it look fleshy and exposed
