[The Last Dog]

Reporting a couple bugs:
diologue after saving the girl is all distorted, something along the lines of "there shouldnt be anymore ###########" with the hashes being weird dmgd text thats all stretched.

The slime boss also can get stuck going up and down quickly killing the dog / person
and the Spirit at the end says "/|\/|\/|\ it is as it should be"

Textures break on the ending with the line- paraphrased for spoilers, "thought youd be here longer"

once you past The end, the game just freezes, assumingly.

It is a little buggy, but that's due to the game being made in Gamemaker 1.4 rather than Gamemaker 2 which has much better HTML5 support.

The game also doesn't freeze at the end. That IS the end. : P

im pretty good at typing without looking at the keyboard ( as i think this i ess up a good few times ugh ) but a typing game might be a good thing to practic with XD havent seen anyone do a game reguarding typing since well ... elelmentary school heh

bug in the dress minigame, you cant touch, drag or right click the lower left eye symbol thingy.
you can however drag everything off screen and perma delete it oddly.
I still haven't gotten the second to last trophy- know the name i believe because a resonce you made o another comment and what it looks like because exador XD
no idea how to get it but it's fine.

This game's pretty nifty though not as much a game as a sorta history and guide ... i dont wanna say program ahg whats the word!
also only in this flash will I ever get Deity quality Wistle status eheheh. been around newgrounds for over 7 years but my account isnt as old- trying to be helpful for this community and active- but tbh all I've been doing is making reviews on art, movies and a few games here and there- wish I could talk to my buddies again on the chat room but ohwell.

All in all a nifty flash game you made, I'll favorite this for users to see because this can be really handy for newer or even intermediate users of this site :D

I admit, I didn't put much effort into the little dress up game, it was a bit of fun to fill a blank space, and as a homage to something that used to be very popular on Newgrounds, same with the quiz at the end. My only clue for the second to last, is making a false start.

It used to be easier to level up your whistle in the past than it is now, but there are still ways to do it if you keep your eye out.

so cant run it on my top notch pc- each O is a separate entity . . .
by score of 1976 the game takes 2 seconds between each registered click

poorly built but an interesting goofy premise
but im not going to give it a full fake score and spam shoom like alot of people seem to be

Im not sure exactly if each O are their own separate entity. I'm using haxeflixel, which uses OpenFL. At the very elast, its all ONE FlxText object, which should be ONE TextField object.

well for such a simple game im surprised i got so into it- 31 minutes, 44 seconds it took since i got a bit stumped on where to go- didnt realise the castle was opened
the puzzle aspects were interesting though sometimes a bit of a ? :o
music started to drive me nuts tbh- nice but the simpleness of it plus this sort of 8 bit for too long can kill ya XD
wish i knew what the rainbow cat was for- only found 7/8 treats have no idea where i could have left the last one
that's about it :3
it's a nice game to kill time on but can make you think XD
4.5/5 just cause the music- i know there were two songs but just needs more work sorry sorry
( now being it's almost 2 am i need a nap too- bork! )

Thanks for all the detailed feedback! You're right about it not being 100% clear that the castle has been opened after the 7th bird is found - it's amazing how fine a line signposting can be. Too much, and players don't feel like they have freedom. Too little, and things get genuinely confusing. It's up to me to get a little more familiar with this line. :P I'll also remember to include more music in future games too, just to keep things fresh! And you don't need to apologize for criticizing the game! That's what reviews are for! :D

beyond the stated issues one thing i wonder is why the second boss ship has such a long time on its firing lazer- i cant dodge it if i can only fly left and right- had it go off on the left side of the screen but it walsed well long enough to get me on the other, so i couldnt dodge it.
not to gripe on simpler things but that seems like an issue if your ship can only take one hit and that hit is about undodgeable ( not sure how lamia got farther either he killed the ship faster or figured out how to get away easier than i did, was kiiinda focusing on surviving the blast not shooting )

Your ship is faster than the laser turret ! You can go far left, then on the top. There's nothing undodgeable ;), even with more difficult bosses.
